When Mr. Rowland is talking to the class, Amiir is working on his comedy. Mr. Rowland tells him to concentrate in class to make his dreams come true. Jose can’t do anything until March because it’s the off-season. He says colleges can contact students but they can’t see them play. Pa invites him to her band practice to cheer him up.

When Monzong and other members of the band are practicing, Pa brings Jose. The name of the band is the Pov pob. They named it after a popular game among young Hmong people. Jose is pleased to watch them play their song. The song was written last week by Monzong and Pa.
