Jose was taken to a homeless shelter by Monzong. It was his first time he worked there as a volunteer. Monzong said there was always someone who needed his help. While Amiir was working on his next comedy show, his father brought a college application form. Amiir couldn’t say anything but receive it.
ホセはモンゾンにホームレスの施設に連れていってもらいました。彼にとってそこでボランティアとして働くのは初めてのことでした。モンゾンは彼の助けを必要としている人は常にいるのだと言いました。アミールが次のコメディショーの準備をしていると、お父さんが大学の入学願書を持ってきました。アミールは何も言えず受け取るしかありませんでした。

Talk about the story looking at the picture. => Listen to the story => Answer the questions: What did Amiir order? How much is the tuna sandwich? Did Amiir tell his father he wanted to be a professional comedian? What is Wanda’s advice for Amiir?
=> Practice-1:   Have them try to explain the situation in three sentences.
Amiir was told to fill out a college application form by his father. He has already decided to be a comedian right after graduating from high school. When Amiir asks Wanda for advice, she suggests inviting his father to his show.

Lesson 120 Talk about the story looking at the picture. => Listen to the story => Answer the questions: What is Mr. Rowland asking students about? Where has Sarah decided to go to college? What is Mr. Rowland’s advice for Sarah? Where is Amber thinking of studying? Why does Mr. Rowland want them to make the last winter vacation count?
=> Practice-1:   Have them try to explain the situation in three sentences.
This is their last day in Sarah’s class before their winter vacation. Mr. Rowland asks some of the students how their college applications are going. He tells them to make the vacation count because they are graduating high school.
