- bionic [baɪˈɑː.nɪk] using artificial materials and methods to produce activity/movement in a person/animal: ~ arm/leg
- Skim: The title, photos and captions, and subheadings=> Predict the content of the journal article
              -> Read Intro Par., first sentence of each Par, Last Par.
=> Speak the main idea of the article in one sentence.
Today, artificial arms that are controlled by human brain are available/in use.
- Reading Comprehension: Underline/Mark the key words to look for.
-> Read  T/F, Mark the line #, Correct false statements => Pair Check the Answers
- Read Intro aloud
-> Interest           Six Million Dollar Man (2:38)
Open Forum-1 Chapter 2  Radio Interview about Artists for Literacy  #1
Introducing the Topic: 1. Number the List of Reading Materials => Discuss with a partner
- How often and what kind of books do you read?  - Describe the last book you read.=>Q&A
- Before Listening: literacy (ability to read) - literate (cultivated, well read/informed), literature
- Listen-> Main Ideas, More Details <= Not to be confused with the Names!
- Listen=> Explain the below key points in 90 seconds.
- How much young people read
- What the organization Artists for Literacy does
- What the radio listeners do.
